Building a start-up company is an extremely challenging task. On the one hand, you need to deliver sales – and fast. And on the other hand, you need to be able to build the foundations properly or otherwise your company will be like a house of cards that can crumble with the slightest of wind.
What we have learnt from our years of experience is that it really pays off to build everything with the mindset of building a world class company. If you cut corners early on in the game, you will sooner or later be caught up with it and various suffocation symptoms will manifest.
So, even if you think you don’t have time to do something properly, think twice. And then just bite the bullet and do the thing in such a way that it’s robust, professional and doesn’t cause problems when your personnel and revenues grow 100-fold in the future.
